No. Because the harp is so difficult and time consuming to transport, set up, and tune, I do not attend rehearsals. However, if you really want me to attend, I can do so for an added fee of $150 (subject to change depending on circumstances).
Yes, I do require a contract and non-refundable deposit of $100 to reserve your date. The contract may be signed in person at a consultation, sent through the mail, or scanned and emailed.
There are many considerations that factor into the price of an event. Driving distance, how much equipment is needed, length of playing time and waiting time in between playing, and special song requests, just to name a few. Use the contact information to request a free quote.
I do not fly with my harp, however I will drive anywhere in or near Arizona and surrounding states, even down into Mexico. Compensation for fuel, time, and lodging/food may be required. For example, to drive to Phoenix I charge $100. Please provide exact event address in quote form to get an accurate amount.
I can play consecutively up to 4 hours. As with any musician, after the first hour I will need to take breaks, up to 10 minutes per hour.
I book up to 1 year in advance. I have played on short notice, even same day notification, but I do not recommend waiting, because I may become unavailable, and I will charge a $25 late payment fee for a last minute booking paid less than 7 days in advance. Exceptions for funerals, which are always short notice.
Yes. The harp is a wonderful instrument to learn, especially because it sounds beautiful no matter how inexperienced you are. There is no squeeking or twanging. Any age can learn to play the harp. I teach people as young as 3-years-old up to 100-years-old. Not sure if harp is for you? Contact me to set up a FREE LESSON to try it out (travel fee applies if more than 5 miles from my home).
I accept cash, checks, online payments like paypal, and credit cards. There is a 3% service charge to use a credit card or paypal. The full balance is due before I begin to play. $25 late payment fee applies if deposit is paid less than 7 days before event (funerals exempt). $25 fee for bounced checks.
